PAIN MANAGEMENT

Acupuncture is known well for its efficacy with pain cases. There are two explanation for this East and West. Traditionally pain is cause by the disruption or stagnation of Qi and blood. This may occur due to injury, strain, sprain or any kind of irritation. With acupuncture applied to certain areas and as Qi and blood are restored pain and discomfort will subside. 

Common physiological pain such as sciatica, neck, back and shoulders, patients experience relief  often with their first acupuncture treatment. However it is important that patients continue treatment to ensure a complete elimination of  the problem.

More internal pain such as those related to menstrual, headaches including migraines or pain related to digestion, depending on severity  may require additional mode of treatment such as herbs or moxibustion.

FERTILITY

Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment of fertility involves weekly acupuncture, daily customized herbal medicine and depending on the case, bi weekly moxibustion and/ or cupping. Depending on the patient, treatment focus will range from regulating cycle, improve blood flow, strengthen womb, reduce stress etc.

Fertility program can be used alone for natural pregnancy or as supplement to IVF or any other conventional fertility treatment. Patients are encouraged to start the program as soon as possible. Minimum of 6 months is recommended.

Many Pre-menstrual Syndrome is explained in TCM as an imbalance of Yin Qi and blood. The imbalance is often seen as deficiency or weakness of Yin substance. Yin substance includes blood, essence and certain Qi.

Based on TCM theory diagnosis, Pre- menstrual Syndrome and Menopause share the similar type of imbalance. However, PMS is once a month for a few days where Menopause could last many years with much severe symptoms.

Acupuncture combined with herbal medicine is an extremely effective, safe and natural way to feel good and comfortable during that time of the month and life.

STRESS

In TCM stress is a major culprit in causing many physical and emotional imbalances. TCM recognizes stress as an exterior factor which inevitably causes interior imbalance.  These imbalances will manifest into different symptoms for different people. Often it includes: irritability, anxiety, depression to digestive and sleep issues to low energy and low motivation. For women often it may affect menstrual cycle and/or fertility. 

Stress treatment will involve acupuncture and herbal medicine. Treatment program will address movement of the Qi and restore any deficiency/excess.
